Evaluations & Assessments
These assessments allow us to look at several different factors to gain a comprehensive understanding of your mental health and services that are needed to make you the best version of yourself. During the assessment, we will have an informal conversation, conduct, and review a formal appropriate psychological test, review school or work records and speak with family, friends or other mental health professionals if needed.
Neuropsychological Evaluations
Also called neuropsychological testing, is an in-depth assessment of skills and abilities linked to brain function. Tests of intellectual functioning, attention, learning and memory, reasoning and problem-solving, visuospatial skills, and language, as well as mood and personality. An interview with the patient and a family member or friend, if possible. A neuropsychological evaluation is different from tests included in a neurological evaluation (e.g., EEG) or neuroimaging (e.g., CT or MRI scan).
